This Halloween I dressed up as Link from the Legend of Zelda - my favorite Nintendo character. I made Simplicity 8199, view B.
Although the costume looks complicated, it was surprisingly easy to make and I enjoyed working with the bias tape to cover raw edges. I also inserted eyelets for the first time. I had to watch a YouTube video to help me figure out how to do it, because the instructions on the package are in German, but once I got the hang of it, it was actually pretty easy to do and I was happy to have learned a new technique.
I'm also posting a picture of the pumpkin that I carved. Happy Halloween!
hi! It looks very nice! What type of fabric did you used?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hi Gaby, I just noticed your comment, sorry for the delayed response. The fabric was just cotton broadcloth - nothing fancy. This was probably one of my favourite projects ever in terms of the outcome. Hope this helped!
